Condition
The canvas is lined. Surface in generally good condition aside from pressed craquelure and paint separation throughout-- especially pronounced in top right quadrant above fish. Discoloration and minor losses along the edges of the canvas possibly due to interaction with frame. Uneven texture (possibly due to added pigment) in top right quadrant next to fish. Inspection under UV reveals a vertical retouch of approximately 4 inches long and 1 inch wide in top right quadrant above the fish, possibly a repaired tear. Scattered inpainting throughout, particularly along edges and in area to the left of the bowl of fish.
