Catalogue Note
Founded in 1937 in Milan, Valextra soon developed a mix of sophisticated design and artisanal craftsmanship that made its attaché cases and travel bags favourites of the most cosmopolitan figures in the world: Aristotle Onassis and Grace Kelly carried Valextra bags, and Maria Callas travelled with Valextra trunks. District from many other luxury brands, Valextra products carry no visible label or logo, but their reputation looms large. Jony and Marc have long admired the company, especially its history of innovation: for example, Valextra created the first 24-hour bag some 50 years ago. This Pergamena White calf-leather suitcase set was created in an edition of one for the (RED) Auction and features a custom-made red tag as well as red inner belt straps.
