Catalogue Note

A copy of André's fine lithographed edition of the C-minor Mass, edited after the autograph, has not appeared in these rooms for over fifty years. Nor do we have a record at auction in the last forty years of either the first issue or this one of Davidde Penitente - Mozart's C-minor Mass parody, containing the superb and relatively little-known inserted cadenza for three solo voices in the final movement.
