Catalogue Note
First edition. Martens was the first printer in Alost, along with Johannes de Westfalia, and together they were the first printers in Belgium. Martens worked in Alost from 1473 until 1492 (but with a gap from 1474 to 1486), then he transferred to Louvain, where he became friends with Erasmus and printed several of his works.
