Condition

Unexamined out of frame. Original canvas, there is a faint stretcher bar mark visible down the right hand side, and down the bottom half of the left hand side. There is are a few tiny, isolated spots of extremely fine craquelure in the bottom left hand quadrant, visible upon close inspection, but this excepting the work appears in very good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals small, scattered spots of flourescence and probable retouchings to areas of the extreme edge, and a few further spots in the top right quadrant and top left corner. These have all been executed very sensitively. Housed behind glass in a thick gilt and painted wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
