Condition
The sheet is not laid down, but is adhered to a backing card via two hinge strips at the top edge. There are pin holes visible to the corners, and very slight cockling to the centre of the sheet.
There is slight scuffing to the extreme corners, with a tiny tear at the top extreme edge, as well as further isolated creases and tiny possible tears to the extreme edges, not wholly visible in the present mount. There is rubbing to areas of the blue sky, most apparent in the upper right corner, with resultant areas of very minor loss and possible in-filling and lifting. Elsewhere there is very minor reticulation and slight possible loss to some of the black gouache in the foreground with further slight rubbing. There is a very slight possible diagonal scuff through the centre of the composition.
There is an un-finished, discarded watercolour composition of a farmyard on the reverse of the sheet.
Housed behind glass in a thin silver gilt frame, set within a cream and grey card mount.
