Condition
Original canvas, there is a noticeable 1½in. puncture mark in the centre of the lower edge.
In the bottom right corner there is a small area of loss with some corresponding paper residue in the extreme corner. There is a very slight diagonal scuff in the lower left hand corner, and a pressure mark to her hand. There is very minor surface dirt, and one or two very slight flecks of surface matter visible upon close inspection.
Ultraviolet light reveals an area of fluorescence and probable retouching to the aforementioned horizontal scuff in the lower left hand quadrant.
Housed in a thick varnished wooden frame.
