The work is in good condition overall, as is the paper, which is clear of ostensible problems associated with paper as medium such as foxing, tears or holes. There is a slight undulation to the sheet, inherent to the artist's working method. There are indications of wear and handling around the edges, but only noticeable upon close inspection. Along with faint craquelures, but the paint layers and impastos are well-preserved and stable. Examination under ultraviolet light indicates no evidence of retouching. The painting illustrated in the catalogue should be rotated 180 degrees. Framed.
