Condition

The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. Good overall condition despite the inevitable scratches and marks throughout due to age and handling. Half of an engraved cartouche is missing on the lower rail. Some chips to the gilding revealing wood underneath. The mirror of the engarved cartouches is slightly foxed. Some blue-tinted glass elements have been replaced. The central mirror plate is probably later but not modern. It is made of mercury with some minor losses as expected. It has nice old looking aspect. It is less foxed than the engraved cartouches.
