Centering a purple star sapphire weighing approximately 40.00 carats, framed by round and pear-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 6.50 carats, size 5¼, stamped Ring-Dant; shank detaches for wear as a pendant.

In good condition. The sapphire is a deep violetish purple, translucent to semi-translucent, showing strong asterism that moves nicely with the stone. The diamonds are approximately H-J color, predominantly VS clarity. The center section detaches to become a pendant by extracting the safety closure mechanism attached to the shank.
