The textured gold links set with eight carved coral frogs, spaced by carved jadeite segments, some shaped like koi fish, with six cultured pearls measuring approximately 11.3 to 9.1 mm, further set with seven sapphire cabochons, suspending a pendant formed of a carved jadeite bi within gold frames decorated with ropetwist and fleur-de-lys motifs, gross weight approximately 180 dwts, length 29 inches, necklace and pendant signed Webb; pendant detaches and may be worn as a brooch; necklace fitted with retractable pendant loop.
Condition
In very good condition. The off-round pearls are creamy white with a waxy luster and pink and green overtones. Minute to minor pitting visible to some of the skins. The coral is a medium orangy red with minor color mottling present. The jadeite is medium to light slightly greenish blue and ranges from slightly translucent to opaque with color mottling visible on a few of the carved plaques. The sapphires are a medium deep violetish blue and translucent.
