Catalogue Note

'The natural sapphire described in the Gemstone report 66372 from the Swiss Gemmological Institute SSEF possesses extraordinary characteristics and merits special mention and appreciation. The described gemstone of 11.710 carats exhibits an outstanding purity, combined with a velvety blue colour and an attractive cutting style... The velvety blue of this sapphire is due to very fine and subtle inclusions and a combination of well-balanced trace elements in the gemstone, typical and characteristic of the finest sapphires of Kashmir.' Excerpts from the SSEF appendix letter.
