Designed as a fancy link necklace set with ruby beads, suspending a detachable pendant set with cabochon and circular-cut rubies and emeralds and brilliant-cut diamonds, length approximately 815mm, each signed Van Cleef & Arpels and numbered, pendant with French assay marks, pendant with brooch fitting to reverse.
Condition
Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain rubies of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin will be required before import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information.
Necklace stamped 585 for 14 carat gold, pendant 750 for 18 carat. Necklace signed Van Cleef & Arpels New York and partially illegible numbered 41(338), pendant signed Van Cleef & Arpels, Made in Paris, maker's marks, numbered 38826, again partially on side of pendant. Coloured stones well matched, with typical crystal inclusions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 5.00 - 5.50 carats, on average of G-I colour and VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in mounting. Clasp secure, safety catch below. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition.
