Description
- natural pearl, diamond, platinum
Composed of thirty-seven graduated natural pearls measuring approximately 11.60 to 7.70mm, each spaced by a seed pearl, to a clasp set with a step-cut emerald weighing approximately 4.40 carats, flanked on each side by brilliant-cut diamonds together weighing approximately 1.05 carats, mounted in platinum, length approximately 420mm.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to SSEF report, the thirty-seven larger pearls are all natural, saltwater pearls. Separate Appendix letter states that the natural pearls "exhibit a perfectly matching round to roundish shape, combined with a very fine pearl lustre...... Assembling a selection of natural pearls of this matching shape and quality is rare and exceptional." Please refer to the report and appendix for details. In our opinion, the pearls are round to off-round to naked eyes, white to light cream white colour with rosè overtone, very good lustre with minor surface blemishes which are not noticeable unless close and careful check, very rare and exceptional quality in natural pearls. Tiny seed pearls in-between are of similar quality. Emerald set on the clasp is medium deep strong green colour, moderately included to naked eyes, with surface pits and tiny openings under loupe check, not seen to naked eyes. Two diamonds are about H to I colours, SI clarity.
Condition: Platinum clasp, classic pearl strand, in very good condition.
