Description
- sapphire, diamond, platinum
Centring on a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 12.60 carats, flanked on each side by a cushion-shaped diamond together weighing approximately 4.00 carats, mounted in platinum. Ring size: 6
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to both Gübelin and AGL reports, the sapphire is natural, of Kashmir origin, with no indication of heating and clarity enhancement. Gübelin appendix states that this sapphire "possesses a richly saturated and homogeneous colour, combined with a high degree of translucency." Please refer to the reports and appendix for details. In our opinion, the sapphire shows a saturated, deep strong vivid blue colour, with good brilliance. Clean to naked eyes. Upon 10x loupe, the sapphire is still quite clean, only a few tiny crystal inclusions and minor growth zoning, but not seen to naked eyes and do not affect the brilliance. Two cushion diamonds weigh approximately 2.00 carats each, about F to G colours, VS clarity.
Condition: Platinum ring mount, in mint condition.

Catalogue Note
Accompanied by Gübelin and AGL reports numbered 13025089 and CS 53616 respectively, dated 18 February and 19 February 2013, stating that the 12.60 carat sapphire is natural, of Kashmir origin, with no indications of heating. Further accompanied by a Gübelin appendix, stating that the sapphire "possesses a richly saturated and homogeneous colour, combined with a high degree of transparency... Such a combination of characteristics is rare in natural sapphires of this size."
