Description
- JADEITE, WOOD
- Carving approximately 142.56 x 103.78 x 40.50mm.
The translucent tri-coloured jadeite carved with longevity immortal of celadon tone holding a scepter and a gourd, symbolising good health, against a russet-coloured peach-shaped background, highlighted by a bat with patches of apple green tone and small carved peaches.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to Jadeite Jade Testing Certificate, the jadeite carving is natural, Type A Jadeite Jade. Please refer to the certificate for details. In our opinion, carving is translucent and bi-coloured, of medium amber yellow hue on the back (outer layer of the original rough) and celadon tone in the front with a minor patch of intense green on right-hand side (the "bat" carving).
Condition: Nice carving with clever use of the natural colour layers in jadeite boulder and the contrast between matte and glossy polish, presenting an auspicious Chinese immortal, in very good condition.
