Description
- GREEN BERYL, SAPPHIRE, GOLD
The brooch designed as a berry, set with a cabochon green beryl weighing approximately 17.00 carats, surmounted by leaves set with cabochon sapphires together weighing approximately 5.00 carats, mounted in 18 karat yellow and blackened gold, signed; the necklace of braided work design, mounted in 18 karat yellow gold, length approximately 410mm, signed.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the green beryl is semi-translucent, of medium light bluish green colour, with numerous surface pits and abrasions on both top and bottom. Cabochon sapphires are of medium blue colour, eye clean. Upon 10x loupe, quite a few sapphires have surface pits and chips, not seen to naked eyes. Signed Buccellati to the clasp. Necklace - karat gold weighing approximately 50 grams, signed Piaget to the clasp.
Condition: The brooch has signs of wear and surface abrasions to its metal and minor tarnish to the back, in fair to good condition. Necklace with signs of normal wear, in good condition.
