Condition

This large work is ready to be hung in its current state. It may have been re-stretched at some point. The paint layer is clean and has what is probably the original varnish. There are isolated retouches in the corners in the background. Other than one retouch in the lower left quadrant in the dark purple color and a couple of small isolated retouches in the lower right quadrant, the condition in the colored majority of the picture is beautiful. A thin strip frame would protect the edges. (This condition report has been provided courtesy of Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.)
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report.
