Condition
This work has been recently restored. It is still stretched on its original stretcher, but the canvas has been backed with a thin layer of gauze applied with Beva-371. The tacking edges have been reinforced. The paint layer itself is undamaged except for one small restoration in the water in the lower left. The remainder of the picture is in more or less original condition. Although the artist has painted rather rapidly in some areas of the sky and water, no thinness has developed since the work was painted. The condition can be considered extremely good.
