Oil on finely woven, unlined canvas. The picture surface is in generally good condition aside from a few very minor pinpoint losses at the extreme edges, not visible in the current framing. Under UV light, much of the background flouresces. There are also small areas of inapint at the tip of the sitters nose and the in the hair around the sitter's left ear.
