Condition
Oil on unlined canvas. The picture surface is in generally good condition aside from some minor frame abrasions and very minor losses visible along the extreme top edge and two pinholes in the upper left corner. Under UV light, there are small scattered spots that fluoresce across the lower right corner of the canvas and frame and slightly larger drips of varnish in the lower left corner. There is also a 3 1/2 inch long inpaint along the front edge of the second step directly to the left of the figures cape.
