Condition
This painting is unlined. The tacking edges have been reinforced, and the work is well stretched. The paint layer seems to be clean and there is a patina to the paint layer that appears to be original. The paint layer is very healthy. There are no retouches in the face or to the remainder of the picture. Although it may be tempting to wonder whether the picture will clean, it is recommended that the picture be hung as is, as there seems to be a definite intentional character to the patina.
