Condition
This work has been lined with glue as an adhesive. The lining has effectively stabilized the paint layer. The texture of the painting is slightly diminished, probably due to the lining. There are no retouches or damages. The top edge of the picture shows signs of a little frame abrasion, and there may be a few tiny actual paint losses on the extreme edge. There are some light gray brushstrokes of undercolor along the top edge in the far bank of the river that are visible to the naked eye, but these are not the result of any damages or changes to the palette; these light gray marks are original. The scuffs along the immediate top edge and upper right and upper left corners are mainly in the varnish and can be corrected.
