Condition

Executed on paper mounted on board. The edge of the sheet slightly overlaps the board along the right lower edge and is folded over. There is some minor frame abrasion along the extreme edges. A close inspection reveals some sinuous hairline restored tears: towards the center of the left edge, in the lower left corner, towards the center of the right edge and in the upper left quadrant. To the left of the central form and the upper right of the rectangular form in the lower left quadrant are spots of discoloration that are possibly restoration. Otherwise, apart from some light time-staining and faint spots of foxing in the upper right quadrant, this work is in overall generally good condition.
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. Prospective buyers should inspect each lot to satisfy themselves as to condition and must understand that any statement made by Sotheby's is merely a subjective qualified opinion.
NOTWITHSTANDING THIS REPORT OR ANY DISCUSSIONS CONCERNING CONDITION OF A LOT, ALL LOTS ARE OFFERED AND SOLD "AS IS" IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONDITIONS OF SALE PRINTED IN THE CATALOGUE.
