Condition

The canvas is not lined. UV examination reveals some scattered retouchings in places, mainly to the sky and sea. There are some fine lines of craquelure, some frame rubbing to the left edge with associated small losses and a small paint loss to the lower right corner above the signature. Otherwise, this work is in overall good condition. Colours: overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though the colours are brighter in the original.
