Condition

The canvas is not lined. There is a cloudy varnish through which the UV light cannot fully penetrate. UV examination does, however, reveal a few very small spots of retouching in places. Otherwise, this work is in overall very good condition. Colours: fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though the background is slightly lighter in the original.
