Condition

The canvas is not lined. There is a thick layer of varnish, preventing the UV light from fully penetrating, however there appear to be no signs of retouching under UV light. There are some light frame abrasions to the left edge (not visible when framed ) and to the right edge (partially visible when framed). There are some extremely fine lines of paint shrinkage mainly to the thicker white pigments. Otherwise this work is in overall good condition. Colours: fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though the blues are brighter in the original.
