Condition

Oil on canvas board. There do not appear to be any signs of retouching visible under UV light. There is one tiny spot of paint loss to the black area on the right of the rose and a further few scattered minute paint losses on the lower part of the rose. Otherwise, this work is in overall very good original condition. Colours: fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though overall fresher and brighter in the original.

QUOTE

To an artist, the most mundane and the most uncommon things can be an experience- a harmony of colours, an interweaving of lines.
