Exhibited
Amsterdam, Stedelijk Museum, Verzameling Ella Winter, 1961-62, no. 3, illustrated in colour on the back cover of the catalogue
Condition
The canvas is not lined. There is a thick layer of varnish preventing the UV light from fully penetrating. However, UV examination does reveal an area of glazing varnish to the upper right corner and a few tiny spots of retouching in places, mainly towards the right edge. This work would benefit from a clean. Otherwise, this work is in overall good condition.
Colours: Overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue though the red is slightly more burgundy in the original.
