Condition

Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down, attached to the mount at all four corners and floating in the overmount. The verso is also visible through a window cut into the mount. The pages are taken from a sketchbook and as such there are two perforated vertical lines runing down the centre of the work, a fold and six small holes relating to the previous binding. The outer corners are rounded and the left hand line of perforation has become separated all the way down and the lower part has been supported with a translucent restorer's paper. There are a few tiny nicks to the right part of the lower edge. Both recto and verso are in overall good condition. Colours: The red of the hair is darker in the original when compared to the printed catalogue illustration.
