Condition

Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down and attached to the mount along all four edges. There is some very light mount rubbing and staining to parts of the left, upper and right extreme edges, with some associated tiny traces of residual gold leaf in places, and tiny paint losses to parts of the extreme right edge (none of which is visible when framed). There is a 1cm-long horizontal tear to the upper left corner. Otherwise, this work is in overall very good condition. Colours: overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though the background tones are less purple/red in the original.
