Condition
The automatic movement is in working order while cataloguing but has not been tested for the accuracy of time keeping and a service might be required at the buyer's expense soon. Dial is in good condition. Bezel with faint surface scuffs, a few light surface hairline to the back. Overall in good condition.

Catalogue Note
The Golden Hind was an English galleon best known for its circumnavigation of the globe between 1577 and 1580, captained by Sir Francis Drake.
The enamelled scene on this watch is possibly depicting the battle on 1st March 1579. In the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of Ecuador, the Golden Hind challenged and captured the Spanish galleon Nuestra Señora de la Concepción. This galleon had the largest treasure captured to that date: over 360,000 Pesos.The six tons of treasure took six days to transship.
