  • height 24 cm
• Swiss B21 quartz movement, 13 jewels • housed within a rectangular yellow gold case with chamfered corners • mother-of-pearl dial with jasper centerfield, diamond and emerald-set inner bezel, emerald-set applied Roman quarter hour numerals, gold and diamond-set decorative hands, outer bezel set with brilliant-cut diamonds • the whole held between a yellow gold, mother-of-pearl and jasper arch, decorated with diamonds and a large cabochon emerald, on two substantial jasper hexagonal columns, sitting in front of each column is a sculptured and chased roaring lion, eyes set with emeralds, the large rectangular gold base with jasper, mother-of-pearl and onyx centered by a large cabochon emerald, on shaped feet • inner casing, dial and movement signed, base signed on an applied plaque

Condition

Overall in very good condition. An immensely powerful clock in its impression design, beautifully sculptured and finished, mother-of-pearl is intact, jasper intact, gold very slightly tarnished but will clean easily, inner casing stamped and hallmarked PPC twice. Movement is in working order. Base is signed Patek Philippe. Overall an exceptional work of art. The weight of the clock is approximately 8 kg.

Catalogue Note

With a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production in 1992 and sale on January 11th, 1994.  The Extract additionally states the clock has diamonds weighing 17.87 carats, cabochon emeralds weighing 5.88 carats and baguette-cut emeralds weighing 1.82 carats. The total weight of the clock is 8 kilograms.  With a Patek Philippe presentation box.
