Catalogue Note
La célèbre manufacture de joaillierie des frères Linzeler fut fondée à Paris en 1872. Léon Stensmaght et Antoine Touyon insculpèrent leur premier poinçon pour la bijouterie, sise au 21 rue Sainte-Anne le 12 juin 1874; un second poinçon fut insculpé en 1879, sis au 1 bis rue Bailly. Il fut biffé le 15 mai 1885. C'est probablement à ce moment-là que Stensmaght a dû enregistrer son propre poinçon.
The celebrated jewellery firm of Linzeler Frères was founded in Paris in 1872. Léon Stensmaght and Antoine Touyon entered a first mark for la bijouteriefrom 21 rue Sainte-Anne on 12 juin 1874; a second mark entered in 1879 from 1bis rue Bailly was cancelled on 15 May 1885. It is to be presumed that Stensmaght then registered this mark on his own.
