Condition
The carving is fine and delicate. Three of the handles are pierced at the base for the attachment of a matrix and one is blank. One of the handles has a filled crack and holes at waist height and just above base(seal bottom left, filled flaws visible in illustration). The other three have been constructed in sections with fine but visible joins. Very minor chipping. The case elegant but timeworn as can be seen in illustration.
