de forme rectangulaire, reposant sur quatre pieds, le corps ciselé de côtes torses et appliqué d'une aigle, le couvercle ciselé à deux reprises du chiffre LL, la prise en couronne impériale, gravée BAPST & FALIZE PARIS sur la bordure interne du corps

Condition

Gilding partly worn, otherwise in good condition. Impressive size. Bapst and Falize association stop in 1891. Eugène Michaut worked between 1882 and 1896.

Catalogue Note

le monogramme Lsur le couvercle est probablement celui de la princesse Laeticia Bonaparte (1866-1926) soeur de Victor, prince Napoléon. Elle épousa le 11 septembre 1888 à Turin, Amédée, duc d'Aoste (1845-1890) qui fut pendant deux ans roi d'Espagne (entre 1871 et 1873).
