Centered by an oval-shaped sapphire weighing 17.03 carats, flanked by two bumble bees set with round and marquise-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 1.35 carats, size 6ΒΌ, signed Monture Schlumberger, with French assay and workshop marks.
Condition
In good condition. The sapphire is a bright medium violetish blue and looks eye-clean, under magnification or very close inspection some silk can be seen directly under the table. A very small crystal can also be seen under one of the upper girdle facets. There are a few minute chips to the girdle due to wear. The four marquise-shaped diamonds weigh approximately .80 carat, they are approximately F-H color, VS clarity. The 18 round diamonds weigh approximately .55 carat and are also approximately F-H color, VS clarity. The mounting with some gentle nicking and scratching due to wear. The interior of the shank is fitted with sizing half-moons. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 55154 stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating.
