Description

  • gold, platinum, diamond, sapphire
Designed as a flower completed by a flexible snake-link stem, set with marquise, kite, French, round and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 13.50 carats, the petals further decorated with numerous calibré-cut sapphires.

Condition

In good condition. The round and square-cut diamonds are approximately H-I color, VS clarity and the center cluster of diamonds are approximately I-J color, VS-SI clarity. The calibré-cut sapphires are medium slightly violetish blue, eye-clean and well-matched for color. The stem is flexible and has a hook on the reverse, it can be hooked onto the wearer in a number of different positions. The stem may be later added; there is some evidence of solder where it is attached and the connection is marked 14K although the rest of the brooch is 18K and platinum.
