Designed as a four-leaf clover, the leaves set with one pear-shaped sapphire weighing approximately 1.95 carats, one pear-shaped ruby weighing approximately 1.60 carats, one pear-shaped diamond weighing approximately 1.10 carats, and a pear shaped emerald weighing approximately .95 carat, further accented by old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately 3.35 carats, signed Cartier O.C.C.; circa 1890.
Condition
In very good condition, particularly considering the piece's age. The 67 old European-cut diamonds are approximately G-I color, VS-SI clarity. The pear-shaped diamond is approximately H-I color, SI clarity. The sapphire is a deep slightly violetish blue, lightly included with some minor abrading to the facet junctions visible under magnification. The ruby is a medium very slightly violetish red, moderately included with a small surface reaching cavity on the pavilion. The emerald is a light bluish green, lightly included with some surface reaching fractures. Signed on the removable brooch attachment. Fitted with a pendant loop.
