The brooch designed as a textured gold flowerhead set with 12 turquoise cabochons and seven lapis lazuli cabochons, accented by six round diamonds weighing approximately .70 carat, gross weight approximately 26 dwts, signed Cartier, numbered 20435; the earclips of floral design centered by two lapis lazuli cabochons, the petals composed of 16 turquoise cabochons, accented by 16 small round diamonds weighing approximately .45 carat, gross weight approximately 36 dwts, signed Cartier, numbered 21044.
Condition
Both pieces in good condition overall. BROOCH: The turquoises are a light, very slightly greenish blue, with very minor chipping and mottling visible under magnification. The lapis cabochons are a rich, deep blue. The diamonds are approximately I-J color, predominantly VS clarity. Some minor discoloration evident to the gold. Signed on the reverse of one of the petals. EARCLIPS: The turquoises are slightly darker and more greenish than those in the brooch, and the lapis cabochons are a shade darker, as well. The diamonds are approximately H-I color, VS-SI clarity. Signed on an applied plaque on the reverse.
