Description
- platinum, ruby, diamond
Centered by an oval-shaped ruby weighing approximately 2.65 carats, flanked by two shield-shaped diamonds weighing approximately .80 carat, size 4½, inclusive of sizing spheres.
Condition
In good condition overall, with light surface wear. Ruby is a medium deep, slightly purplish red, slightly more saturated than appears in the printed catalogue, moderately included, with some surface reaching inclusions, abrading to the facet junctions and light chipping to the girdle visible under magnification. The diamonds are approximately F-G color, VS clarity. Though a size 4 1/2 on the mandrel, fits more like a 6 on the finger. Signed Memo. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 46414 stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin, with indications of heating.
