Description

  • 256 cm; 120 cm
each with fifty-seven lights.  Pierced for electricity.

Condition

Drilled for electricity. Overall in very good condition, gilt bronze with areas of green oxidation, rubbing, and tarnishing. One of the buttress supports in the middle tier has lost a screw and is detached at the lower join; the other candelabra with one of the candle branches in the middle tier detached but present; each candelabra is missing one trefoil on the gallery at the top of the columnar base. Small firing tears to some of the arms and decorative elements; a few of the pierced Gothic decorative features to the branches are either broken or restored; some of the candle branches have restored breaks mostly at the joins to the base. Two finials of spires attached to base are missing.
