The dial signed JOHN GRANT / Fleet Street / LONDON, the backplate engraved John Grant / Fleet Street / London / No. 131. The two train striking movement with verge escapement.
Condition
The case in fair condition; minor age cracks to the domed hood; back pilasters lacking brass stop-fluting; the mahogany surrounding the engraved dial with some restorations and repaired breaks; top hinge to back door loose; minor wear to enamel of dial.
