Knots per square inch: horizontal 20-21, vertical 20-23

Condition

Pile ranges from near original, closely shorn, 1/8th of an inch to low to knotheads in some areas, most to upper end of field and border. Some scattered vertical foldwear and very few visible warp ties. Some scattered spot stains, not extensive. Sides with some losses and fraying to selvages, now generally a later overcast. Upper and lower end outer guard borders with blue residue on reverse. Upper end with losses to outer guardstripe, now secured with binding stitch (now fraying and with losses.) Lower end with some small losses to outer guard stripe, generally intact. Also secured wtih binding stitch with some remnants of silk fringes. Very supple handle, will enhance with cleaning.
