A fine Chinese export reverse-painted mirror picture last quarter 18th century

Within a later George III style giltwood frame.

Acquired from Edwin H. Herzog Antiques, London, 1976

The reverse painted mirror in very good condition with minor fading to the green paint of the trees with very minor losses; some very tiny bits of inpainting; the faces of the figures in excellent condition and the colors are vibrant overall; the later giltwoood frame in good condition with a crack to the cresting and with mino wear to gilding. Please note this has not been viewed under UV light.
