Of rectangular form, the hinged lid and sides decorated with views of European buildings in a landscape with pollard trees within meandering blossoming vine borders, opening to a later burgundy velvet-lined interior above a frieze drawer.  On a later metal stand.  2 pieces.

Condition

Overall fair condition; the edges of the top with old restorations and now yellowed in placed; some chips and losses to bandings; a few large pieces of the banding off but present in a bag; the interior later lined with red velvet; top with large horizontal age crack; would benefit from mild sympathetic restoration; otherwise solid and sturdy; the line-engraving in very good condition and there is not much wear. height of stand: 10 1/2 inches.
