Condition
Tureens: Both tureens have some very minor occasional scratching and minor occasional wear to the enamels. The tureen with the red flower handle (on the right in catalogue illustr.) has its flower-handle broken off through the stem and glued back on. There is a minor approximate 1-inch firing crack to the side running through the kylin's head (slightly evident in the catalogue illustr.). There is some minor speckling to the glaze halfway around the rim. The other tureen with the blue flower handle (on the left in catalogue illustr.) has some very minor chips or losses to the edges of the leaves and flowers on the branch handle. The flower handle has been broken half way across the blossom and restored and partially made up with overpainting, which then has been further chipped along the edges. The restoration is old and has discolored. There is an approximate 1/8-inch flat chip to the interior of the rim edge.
Covers: The cover on the right in the illustration: the pomegranate knob and part of the leaves upon which it rests have been broken off and restored back. There are further chips, restored chips or losses or restoration to the applied leaves across the top. There are two restored rim chips on either side of the stem. There is some very minor chipping along the rimedge, some of which is firing-related. The other cover also has the pomegranate knob broken off and restored back through the stem. There are some minor occasional chips or losses to the applied leaves and flowers of which some have been restored; the restoration is old and has discolored. There is a ½-inch flat rimchip which has been partially filled. There is another approximate ½-inch restored flat rimchip. There are two additional very minor rimchips and two very minor chips to the flange.
