Condition

Laid down. Lower right corner is missing and there are a few nicks in the sheet at the lower margin. Some very light brown staining at the right margin. Otherwise chalk relatively fresh.

Catalogue Note

This is stylistically very close to Maganza's drawing, A Baptism, in the Frits Lugt Collection.Both can be described as 'working' drawings where the number of pentimenti show the artist changing and developing ideas within the composition.
