ICY JADEITE, JADEITE AND DIAMOND 'BUDDHA' PENDANT; AND PAIR OF JADEITE AND DIAMOND EARRINGS

The translucent icy jadeite carved as a Laughing Buddha, framed by circular-cut diamonds, surmounted by a translucent triangular-shaped jadeite of apple green colour, strung on a black cord, maximum length approximately 660mm; and pair of earrings each set with a  jadeite cabochon of emerald colour and fine translucency, surrounded by brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in 18 karat gold. (2)

Colour and Clarity: According to the Hong Kong Jadeite Lab certificates, the icy jadeite "Buddha" and jadeite cabochon earrings are natural, Type A Jadeite Jade. Please refer to the certificates for details. In our opinion, the icy jadeite 'Buddha" is highly translucent, with some natural cloud inclusions visible under illumination. The triangular jadeite cabochon in the surmount is translucent, of bright intense apple green colour, with some cloud inclusions visible under strong penlight, not noticeable. Jadeite cabochon on earrings are matching, of translucent emerald green colour, with natural inclusions visible under strong penlight, not noticeable in normal lighting. Diamonds on earrings weighing approximately 0.35 carat, are about F to G colours, VS clarity. Condition: Karat white gold mounts, both in very good condition. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that jadeite and rubies of Burmese origin and articles of jewellery containing jadeite or rubies of Burmese origin all less than 100 years old may not be imported into the US. The purchaser's inability to import any item into the U.S. or any other country as a result of these or other restrictions shall not justify cancellation or rescission of the sale or any delay in payment.
