The meshwork bag inset with a diamond monogram surmounted by a coronet, the clasp set with cabochon and oval sapphires and single-cut diamonds, measuring approximately 275 x 125 mm, two small diamonds deficient; accompanied by purse, similarly set, inscribed Cartier, numbered, each with French assay and maker's marks.
Condition
Total weight approximately 229 grams.
Bag stamped 585 for 14 carat gold, meshwork with some damage. Indistinctly numbered. Partially stamped Patentiri.
Purse stamped with French assay mark for 18 carat gold. Signed Cartier, Paris. Numbered 1207.
Sapphires medium to dark blue, typical inclusions visible under magnification, abrasions to surface. Diamond bright and lively, two small diamonds deficient. Some abrasions and scratches to metal consistent with age and wear.
